LCI Pet Resort began with a simple dream and a great deal of determination. In 2001, while my husband Cory and I were living in one half of the duplex he had built, I finally decided to follow my lifelong passion for working with animals. I started small, hanging flyers around Cedarville and grooming dogs out of the second bedroom of our home. Word traveled quickly in our close-knit community, and it didn’t take long before I outgrew our little makeshift space.
As demand grew, it became clear that the Les Cheneaux Islands area was in real need of dependable, year‑round pet care. By the following year, Cory and I began building our new home with an expanded grooming and boarding facility attached. What started as a single grooming room soon evolved into a full-service pet resort offering boarding, doggy daycare, and eventually retail pet food to better support our customers.
Over the next five years, we expanded again to meet the needs of our growing community. Through every stage, our focus has remained the same: providing calm, attentive, and reliable care in an environment where pets feel safe and owners feel confident.
More than twenty years later, LCI Pet Resort continues to serve the people and pets of the Les Cheneaux area with the same steady commitment that inspired its beginning, practical care, a peaceful environment, and a genuine love for the animals entrusted to us.
We treat your pets as if they were our own.
To this day, our goal is to make your pet's experience here at the Pet Resort as enjoyable, relaxing and as safe as possible. Cory and I love animals and believe that they should be treated like one of the family. We don't care for the idea of pets in cages, so we keep their time there to an absolute minimum.
